Parent questions, answered
What ages can join?
Music City Lions welcomes athletes ages 5–12 for football and cheer. Divisions are based on age and experience when rosters are set.
Where and when is practice?
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6:00–8:00 PM at McGavock High School — in the back where the school buses park.
What’s included in the registration fee?
Youth Football ($70 / season): season participation, coaching, and uniforms. Families must purchase all other equipment — helmet, practice pants, cleats, shoulder pads, and similar items.
Cheer Squad ($240 / season): season participation, coaching, and uniforms. Any additional gear is purchased separately.
Can I get a refund?
No. All registration fees and related charges are non-refundable once payment is submitted, including if your athlete withdraws, is injured, or cannot attend practices or games.
Can I pay with Cash App or Venmo?
Yes. Choose Cash App or Venmo at checkout, send the listed amount with your athlete’s name in the note, then enter the confirmation so we can match your payment.
What if I need a paper registration form?
We prefer online sign-up so payments and waivers stay together — but if you need a paper form, contact the team and we’ll get one to you.
Is equipment provided?
Football: only uniforms are included. You will need to purchase a helmet, practice pants, cleats, shoulder pads, and any other required gear.
Cheer: only uniforms are included. Additional items are optional and purchased separately if you want them.

Youth football & cheer squad disclaimer
By registering a child with Music City Lions, the parent or legal guardian acknowledges and agrees to the following:
- Inherent risk. Youth football and cheerleading are physical activities that involve contact, falls, jumps, stunts, running, and equipment. Participation carries an inherent risk of injury, including but not limited to bruises, sprains, fractures, concussions, dental injury, and, in rare cases, serious or permanent injury or death.
- Voluntary participation. Registration is voluntary. You assume all risks associated with your child’s participation in practices, games, events, travel to/from activities, and use of facilities (including McGavock High School and any other fields or venues used by the program).
- Medical fitness. You confirm that your child is physically able to participate and that you have disclosed known medical conditions, allergies, and medications that coaches or staff should know about.
- Emergency care. You authorize coaches, staff, and volunteers to obtain emergency medical treatment for your child if you cannot be reached.
- Release. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless Music City Lions, its coaches, volunteers, organizers, and host facilities from claims arising out of ordinary participation in the program, except where prohibited by law or caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
- No refunds. All fees paid for youth football, cheer squad, uniforms, gear, and related items are non-refundable under any circumstances once payment is submitted.
- Conduct. Players and families must follow the code of conduct. Removal from the program for conduct violations does not entitle you to a refund.
